Customer case study
Cultural center and multifunctional venue Bruis Bladel uses DST Connect digital signage software, set up together with our partner GISB, to guide visitors with a digital wayfinder that is linked to the AQQO booking system. Every booking appears on the screen automatically.
In a multifunctional venue, different organizations, visitors and activities come together every day: performances, meetings, courses and gatherings by different users. It is important that everyone can easily share the right information, and that visitors see right away where they have to be.
Keeping that up to date by hand would mean extra work every day for the people managing the building. Bruis wanted a flexible way of communicating throughout the building that works with the systems already in use, instead of adding more management.
The digital wayfinder at Bruis runs on DST Connect and is linked to the booking system AQQO. A booking that is entered there appears on the screen automatically. The manager does not have to re-enter anything, and visitors see right away where they have to be.
Together with our partner GISB Audiovisueel, the screens, the DST Connect software, the integrations, the content and the management were brought together in one solution. That way the system fits the organization, instead of the other way around.
At the entrance, a welcome screen lists which organization or activity takes place in which room and on which floor. Because the screen is connected to AQQO, that list always matches the current bookings. No double entry for the manager, and a clear welcome for every visitor.
It is a practical example of wayfinding signage and visitor welcome screens working together: the information that visitors need, exactly when they walk in.
Besides the current information on arrival, Bruis uses digital signage to show visitors what is coming up. In a cultural center that is often several programs side by side: theater performances, courses, lectures and workshops. DST Connect can retrieve that information automatically from different sources, combine it and show it mixed on the screens.
That gives events later in the season extra visibility with people who are already in the building. A promotion for the new season, for example, can point visitors straight to ticket sales with a QR code.
Sometimes you just want to share something yourself: a vacancy, an activity, an announcement or other news from the organization. That can be done from your own laptop. In DST Connect, the templates are already set up, so staff do not have to design anything. They only add the content and decide when the message is shown, with no technical knowledge needed.
The templates and content are developed together with the DST Connect team to fit the look and feel of the organization.
Bookings in AQQO appear on the screen automatically
